Two-sided game card that will make writing and practicing rhythm fun. Buy just the game board (with instructions), or add the dice and marker to make creating a music center or last minute lesson activity a cinch.

Time to play: 5 minutes
What you need: 1 game card, 1 time signature die, your choice of rhythm dice, dry-erase marker
How to play: Roll the time signature die to see what part of the board you will play on. 2/4 would be 2 squares across, 3/4 3 squares, 4/4 or C 4 squares. 5/4 and 6/4 both use 6 squares.
Roll the rhythm dice and fill up the squares correctly. Each square counts as one beat. If you cannot use the note rolled (ex. whole note in 3/4 time) then roll the die again. Clap and count your rhythm.
On the next line you can practice writing the notes in each square. You can also write the counts in the squares.
Play with someone else and clap your rhythm without showing the other player. The second player then writes the rhythm on his own board. Do they match?
